Our team kicked off a project meeting (requirements gathering) even before we said ‘yes’! We like to know what we are getting into and confirm we can deliver!
It was evident the team were excited, building the framework of the website, working on an area where it was only our technical expertise that was important, but the passion for travel motivated the team even more.
We held design workshops, technical meetings, hosting options review….all leading to a trip in from our stakeholder into our local office to conduct testing. The staff were keen to welcome our customer from the UK to our office but also to demonstrate what we had achieved.
Then Covid struck, what a setback! With travel now stopped and businesses closes, we were all concerned for the future of the project. This did not stop us delivering, rather it prompted us to think about the prospect of traffic volumes, adjusting our hosting options to reflect changes in demand. Where difficulties arise, there are also cost saving options and it was our duty to work with our customer to reduce cost but ensure project success.
Building a website is the easy part, creating a platform they want to visit is all down to creative design and feature driven accessibility. From seamless navigation to search simplification, we ensured both easy transition and submission as was required of us.
Our team has been expanding our services for sometime, however our opportunities went to new heights drawing on our past experiences to deliver for our UK customer. Understanding both the local market as well as future growth of the product was key, so a successful delivery.
